The Factory has been set up as an import substitute high quality paper manufacturing plant having total annual production capacity of 13,986 MT of different grades of paper at 100% capacity based on    3 shift (8 hours per shift) operation and 330 working days in a year. 

The paper sector in Bangladesh was so far dominated by public sector. But with the liberal and pragmatic industrial policy pursued by the government quite a number of paper mills in the private sector have been set up in the country; Pearl Paper and Board Mill Ltd. is one of the  sophisticated paper mill of the Country in the private sector.
